The benefits of integrating your POS to Otter


How does the POS integration work?

Once you've signed up for our POS Integration, the integration steps are as follows:

  1. Add Otter as a user within your POS environment and request that your POS provider gives Otter API access to the back end of the system.
  2. Create a custom “Otter Menu” in your POS that complies with the integration guidelines. This menu will be your “perfect delivery menu” that will ultimately be published to all the delivery platforms.  Once you’re ready, the Otter team will review your menu for compliance and optimisation.
  3. After the Otter menu in the POS is finalised, Otter will publish the menu out to all the delivery partners and replace the existing menus. This ensures that all items are appropriately mapped, reducing the number of errors across menus.
  4. At this point, Otter will turn the integration on and orders will immediately begin to flow into POS from Otter.
